Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 27, 2026

This policy covers the SContractor family of iOS and iPadOS apps: SContractor, SContractor FT, and SContractor PM (collectively, "the Apps"). These Apps do not create accounts, do not collect personal information on our servers, and do not share your data with third parties for advertising or analytics. Your project files stay in your own cloud storage.

1. Information We Collect

The Apps are designed to operate without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information to us. We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other identifying information on our servers.

Information stored locally and in your cloud

All project data you create — floor plans, symbols, cable routes, field notes, schedules, labor entries, meeting minutes, and associated files — is stored as a project file (.scon) on your device and, if you choose, in a cloud storage provider you control (see Section 3). This data never passes through our servers.

Crash and diagnostic data

If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in your Apple device settings (Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymized crash logs and diagnostic data with us. This data contains no personally identifying information and is used solely to identify and fix software defects.

App Store usage data

Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymized analytics about App Store performance (download counts, regional trends). This data cannot be linked to individual users.

2. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above only to:

  • Diagnose software defects and improve app stability (crash logs from Apple).
  • Understand general usage trends to guide future development (anonymized App Store analytics).
  • Respond to support requests you initiate directly with us.

We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than those listed above.

3. Data Storage and Sync

Your project files are stored on your device. If you choose to enable cloud sync, files are written directly to the cloud storage provider you select — iCloud Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, SharePoint, or Google Drive. We do not have access to these files and cannot retrieve, read, or delete them. Your relationship with those providers is governed by their own privacy policies.

Sync is optional. You can use the Apps entirely offline without enabling any cloud provider.

4. In-App Purchases

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed entirely through the Apple App Store using Apple's StoreKit framework. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or any other financial information. All purchase records, receipts, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under their Privacy Policy and Terms of Sale.

If you initiate a refund, cancel a subscription, or have a billing question, please contact Apple Support directly.

5. Third-Party Services

The Apps do not embed third-party advertising SDKs, social media SDKs, or behavioral analytics frameworks. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for any commercial purpose.

The only third-party integrations are the cloud storage providers listed in Section 3 (used only when you explicitly enable sync) and Apple's StoreKit for in-app purchases. Both are initiated by your choice and are governed by the respective provider's privacy policy.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not store your project data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. To remove your data:

  • On-device data — delete the app from your device. All locally stored files are removed.
  • Cloud data — delete the project file from your cloud storage provider (iCloud Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, or Google Drive) using that provider's app or web interface.
  • App Store purchase records — managed by Apple; contact Apple Support to request account deletion or purchase history removal.

Anonymized crash logs shared by Apple are typically retained for 90 days per Apple's standard diagnostic data practices.

7. Children's Privacy

The Apps are professional tools intended for adult contractors and project managers. They are not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a support request, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable privacy law, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. Because we do not maintain personal data about you on our servers, most of these rights are exercised directly with Apple (for purchase records and diagnostic data) or with your cloud provider (for project files).

For any privacy inquiry, contact us at the address in Section 10 and we will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will post a notice in the App Store release notes or within the Apps. Continued use of the Apps after the effective date of a revised policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
